Modern Typography Birth Print

Over the weekend I cuddled with a 5 week old baby {swoon}!  He was adorable with his little newborn quirks and squeaks.  I got to hear all about his first photoshoot with all the fun props the photographer brought along.  It brought back so many memories of when my daughters were itty bitties.  And the best part - after I gave him back to his lovely parents I went to bed and slept all night! ;)

I stumbled onto this Modern Typography Birth Print from Mosie Posies on Etsy.  I love the modern, simple styling and color combinations.  I can see this in many of the nurseries floating around on Pinterest!

The print is available in 8x10 for $19 ($3.50), or 11x13 with a convo to the shoppe Mosie Posies, in the color palette of your choice.

I've told you about the Portland Beanie Company before.  Run, don't walk, to their Etsy shop and order one for each head in your house!  Yes, they make these great knit hats for adults too.  Then order a few more for baby gifts.

And a few more for birthdays and the upcoming Holiday season.  All of their beanies are so stinkin' cute!

You won't be disappointed! I was very impressed with my order last year.

Hope For Orphans Necklace

Isn't this necklace touching?!?  And once you learn the story behind it you'll find the necklace even more beautiful.

The kind-hearted Erin at The Vintage Pearl designed this necklace with adoptive families in mind.  The women, men, and siblings that open their hearts to a baby/child searching for a family are some of the most special people we have among us.  The proceeds of each necklace purchase goes to help a waiting child or baby go home.

This necklace would be a lovely gift for someone in the adoption process, or someone that has had the joy of welcoming a little baby/child into their family.  It would also make a great gift for someone that sometimes needs a gentle reminder for 'hope'.

The Hope For Orphans necklace is available at The Vintage Pearl's Ready to Ship Shop and is available in two lengths, 18 inch or 20 inch.  Priced at just $25!

Really Cute Stuff has four different designs of note cards all sold in sets of 15, priced from $10-$15.

You can have lots of fun with the font and color choices on these cards!

The Color Collection
What a great selection of vivid complimenting colors to choose from.

Think outside the box with these.
I love the suggestion of Teacher Cards with the name of the school in the background.  Also great for Summer Camp teachers as well as Swim Lesson teachers (name of pool in background).

Letter Banner

I have been obsessed with banners lately.  Remember my daughter's birthday banners?  Well they are now hanging in her room (and her sister's birthday banner from January is still in her room!).  Currently hanging over our fireplace is a beach ball banner spelling SUMMER! from Pumpkin Petunia

A few weeks ago I saw the Letter Banners made by Karina, Ink featured as a giveaway by mary elizabeth and fell in love.  Each letter is hand cut from beautiful coordinating cardstock and strung with ribbon or twine or raffia.  I think having a name (first or last) or an important/inspirational word banner would be so fun!  Great gift idea for the family that has it all.  Or to welcome a new baby.  Or a funky graduation gift.

Fortunately for all of us Karina, Ink has re-opened her Etsy shop and is now selling these beautiful letter banners.  Just $2.50 per letter with $4 shipping.

Disclaimer:  I featured these Letter Banners for a chance to win one myself.  Although I've wanted to featured them anyway after seeing them on the giveaway in May because I really do love them ... and I have thought about giving one to a new little bundle of happiness and now I can since the Etsy shop is open!

Crayola Create A Plate Kit

This week Penguin's Gift is featuring Easter ideas so I must include one crafty idea!

We have a decorated plate and bowl for each of my two daughters made by Make-A-Plate during a school fundraiser. Each girl uses her special plate for dinner, although sometimes dinner is served in their special bowl too. They love to see their names (and date) written on the plates.

Crayola has partnered with the plate making company and together they have a line of Create A kits (plate, snack set, tray, and plate group kit).

The plate kit include Crayola markers, five special paper templates, and one pre-paid certificate for processing artwork into one 10 inch melamine plate. One kit would be great for siblings as well, just pay the extra fee to have a second or third plate made.

The plate kit can be found here for $17.99 from Amazon. Also, check out the tray kit ($24.99) which would be a great idea for Mother's Day or a grandparent's birthday.

Easter Fabric Basket - Green & Blue Zoo

End your search for the perfect boy Easter basket - here it is!

I love the colors and zoo theme of this fabric Easter basket from Baffin Bags Etsy shop. And the size is great too (6" x 8" and 6.5" tall, handle is 16" long), just enough room for some candy and a little Easter gift.

Find it at Baffin Bags Etsy shop for $18 (plus $3.50 shipping). While you are there check out the girly Easter basket as well - so cute! I have my eye on the Pink Crayon Roll N Go too.

Sweet Flower print

Want to know why I've been so focused on little girl gift ideas? Two friends had little girls in January and I've gotten to cuddle with each of them recently. Ah, nothing like squishy, cute new babies! So ideas for baby girls have been on my mind ...

Yesterday I saw this print at Hope Ink's etsy shop and fell in love. It is a personalized 16 x 20 inch print (offered in different color combinations) perfect for little girls of just about any age. This would be a great idea for birth, baptism/christening, birthdays, etc.

Around the petals of the flower Psalms 139 is printed:
The Sweet Flower print is $55 with free shipping. Visit Hope Ink's etsy shop here for lots of other personalized, beautiful, and inspiring artwork.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well ... all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

Newsgirl Beanie

Got any heads that need a fun knit hat? Then go to the Portland Beanie Company on Etsy!

In October I ordered this flowered headband for the little girl that is so generous to give my kids hand-me-downs and this newborn flapper hat for a little baby that will be born any day now. When I opened the package I was blown away at how adorable each piece was in person.

I have the newsgirl bean pictured above on my wish list for my girls next fall. And maybe one for me too!

Mini Stockings

I was searching for small stockings this year. Basically what I found were just two sizes, regular and ornament. I wanted something bigger than an ornament but much smaller than the typical stockings.
Then I found these mini stockings at Meghan Designs' etsy shop. ♥ They are the size I was looking for, and totally adorable! I was so excited when I received my order I had to give them to my parents right away. There was no waiting until Christmas for these cuties.
At $6 each they would be a great final touch to many Christmas gifts.
Check out Meghan Designs' other Holiday items also!

Whether its their first grandchild or sixth (as with my parents) this book will offer a grandparent lots of new ideas on how to make lasting memories with the little people in their lives.
